The annual Washington County Bluegrass Festival is FREE to all – just pay for parking! It takes place at Lake Elmo Park Reserve.
Are you trying to decide what your weekend plans with be? The 20th annual Washington County Bluegrass Festival takes place Saturday, September 9 from 2 – 6 pm.
It’s a FREE event; you’ll just need to pay for a parking permit at Lake Elmo Park Reserve ($7/daily or $30/annual).
Washington County Bluegrass Festival Details:
The annual Washington County Bluegrass Festival fuses community, the great outdoors, and homegrown bluegrass music. It’s a grat way to celebrate a successful summer season and give thanks to everyone for supporting Washington County Parks.
The festival backdrop is beautiful Lake Elmo Park Reserve 2,165-acre parkland, 30 miles east of the Twin Cities metro area. As a park reserve, 80% of the parks total land will be restored to pre-settlement, native vegetation. It’s a great place to recreate, camp, and enjoy nature.
The Bluegrass Festival is free for annual park permit holders and available to all visitors for the price of a daily or annual permit. Please, no animals or alcohol at the festival. Supported by the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Association (MBOTMA).

- 2 – 2:50 p.m. – Blue Hazard
- 3 – 3:50 p.m. – The Pale Ales
- 4 – 4:50 p.m. – Chicken Wire Empire
- 5 – 6 p.m. – Barley Jacks
