Free First Saturday: Kids’ Film Festival at the Walker Art Center

Not only is it the Free First Saturday at the Walker Art Center, it’s the Kid’s Film Festival, taking place March 4th.   The Kid’s Film Festival is a series of short films all for kids.  There are different time slots, depending on the age of your kids.  Some of the films are for all ages while others are geared towards 12 and up.  You can find more specific information as well as the movie summaries here on their website.

Gallery admission is free for everyone on the first Saturday of each month from 10 am to 6 pm, with a variety of family activities scheduled from 10 am to 3 pm.

Short Films for All Ages: New Adventures and New Friends, 11 am and 1 pm

Walker Cinema
Enjoy films about hopes, dreams and coming together. The characters of this series of films discover new friendships and explore the world around them. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each screening; seating is limited. Total run time: 77 minutes.

Short Films for ages 12 +: Lean on Me, 3 pm

Walker Cinema
Watch films about families, acceptance, fitting in and standing out. The characters in this collection of films look deep inside themselves to find out what they are really made of. Doors open at 2:30 pm; seating is limited. Total run time: 73 minutes.
