It’s time for the third annual Scandinavian Summer Fest, taking place this Sunday, June 25th at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis. Lot’s of great family friendly fun. The hours for the event are from 10-4 and you can find more information here.
- Midsommar loppet run/walk at 9:30 am.
- The handcrafters, demonstrators and vendors begin at 10:30 a.m.
- The outdoor church service begins at 11:45 a.m. with the Midsommar Stång (maypole) raising directly following.
- The afternoon program of dancing and singing begins at 1 p.m. with the coronation of Miss Svenskarnas Dag 2018 culminating the day’s exciting events and activities.
*Events starting at 10 am are free.

Kristi is married with twin daughters. She grew up on a small dairy farm, but now lives in the south metro area. She enjoys finding free or thrifty things to do whether they are outings close to home or last minute adventures to far-away places.
Kristi can also be found enjoying estate sales, attempting to garden, volunteering in the wetlands or a favorite thrift store, or maybe just enjoying a good play in one of the many theatre venues in the area.
