Thanks to Play Ball Minnesota, kids ages 6-12 can attend a free youth baseball or softball clinic, where they’ll learn fundamentals including hitting, throwing, and defense, while having a lot of fun too!
Play Ball Minnesota Youth Clinics is a program that was started back in 1961 and continues today. It’s a free program that takes place in many communities throughout Minnesota to promote baseball and softball to boys and girls throughout the region.
The clinics are intended for boys and girls ages 6-12, and there are multiple sessions at some locations (instruction is the same for both sessions).

The summer of 2023 will be the 62nd season the Minnesota Twins, Twins Community Fund and Play Ball! Minnesota, in partnership with Great River Energy, will offer free youth baseball and softball clinics.
Created in 1961 by longtime Twins scout Angelo Giuliani, the clinic program serves as a way for Play Ball! Minnesota to promote baseball and softball to boys and girls throughout the Upper Midwest.
Play Ball! Minnesota Youth Clinics have always been available to participants for free. Additionally, there is no cost for a community to host a clinic. Any Upper Midwest community can apply to host a clinic. The program is presented in partnership with Great River Energy.
The Play Ball! Minnesota Youth Clinics are designed to teach fundamentals including hitting, throwing, and fielding. Along with teaching fundamentals, clinics spread the joy and fun of baseball and softball.
The clinics are intended for all children ages 6-12. Play Ball! Minnesota provides safe, youth-friendly, equipment. Youth participants are asked to bring their gloves.
