Minnesota 4th Graders Ski for $19.95 with Passport Program

Now that the snow is here, Minnesota 4th graders can hit the slopes for just $19.95 with the 4th Grade Passport Program! This statewide program created by the Minnesota Ski Areas Association (MSA) provides every 4th grader the opportunity to ski for free. (The $19.95 charge for the passport covers printing and shipping costs.)

Your 4th grader’s passport includes a minimum of two visits to each resort, and there are 18 ski & snowboard areas across the state. For more information, call your local ski area to find out what (if any) restrictions they have on the passport.

Why only 4th graders?

Fourth grade is the perfect age to learn to ski and snowboard. They have the coordination skills and muscle development to be able to pick up on the skills as well as adhering and following safety information. One age had to be chosen and 4th grade was the decision. We are excited that we are able to offer this program to all 4th graders.

How will I know what the restrictions are at each area?

You will need to reach out to your local area to find out what restrictions, if any they have.

When should I expect to receive the 4th Grade Passport Pass after applying ?

Regrettably, due to the overwhelming response to this program, it may be an average of two weeks before you receive the pass. Note that all participating areas are sent a list of applicants on a weekly basis so they know who is in process. Thank you for your patience and participation in this program.
