Anoka Winterfest

UPDATE: Anoka Winterfest 2021 is CANCELED due to the extreme cold, but you can still pick up a free goodie bag. 

2021 Anoka Winterfest Update:

Winterfest 2021, planned for Saturday February 13, has been CANCELED due to frigid weather conditions.

Despite cancellation of other activities, the warming house will still be open with restricted access from 12 – 9pm (weather permitting) for individuals choosing to sled, skate or try out snow shoes on their own.  Masks are required in the warming house, limit 8 people at time. 

Free Winterfest goodie bags (for kids 12 and under) containing indoor craft activities and assorted trinkets, will be available for pick-up at the George Enloe Park warming house. Craft activities are provided by Rum River Arts, Anoka Women of Today, and Art Start. Not all goodie bags contain the same items. There are a limited number of goodie bags available.

Typically Anoka Winterfest activities happen all weekend long, but they’ve scaled back the event this year due to COVID-19. If you’re able to brave the cold, head to George Enloe Park on Saturday, February 13 from 12 – 4 pm for Anoka Winterfest.

Activities
Come and enjoy sledding, skating, snowshoeing, selfie station, bonfires and outdoor music! There will be various (giant) yard games to enjoy, as well.

• Anoka Area Hockey Association will be leading an activity on the ice, shoot a goal and win a prize!
• Anoka Police Department will have a table and handouts!
• Goodie bags with Crafts-to-Go will be handed out, while supplies lasts.

Food & Merchandise

• Kid-friendly food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Anoka Eastern Star Chapter.
• Anoka Halloween Inc. will be selling their Halloween merchandise!

COVID-19 Safety Precautions
All activities will take place outdoors. The warming house will be available only for restroom use. Please practice social distancing while participating in the activities. Dress for the weather conditions.
