Flowers and art or is it art and flowers? The order doesn’t matter, it only matters that this is the weekend for Art in Bloom at MIA (Minneapolis Institute of Arts). It’s a free, four day festival that’s filled with flowers and art. Flowers on their own are quite beautiful, and that smell… that smell brightens any day. Then add some art with them and it sounds like the perfect event. It takes place today through Sunday. Take a look at the schedule for all the details.
Join us for the 33rd Annual Art in Bloom – a four day festival of fresh floral arrangements and fine art, presented by Friends of the Institute at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
This splendid rite of spring celebration highlights the talents of more than 150 local floral artists whose work will be on view next to the artworks that inspired them. More than 20 commercial artists will display their expertise in the world of floral design throughout the museum. Thursday through Sunday, experience the floral fragrances while enjoying inspiring lectures and demonstrations by floral designers. Enjoy a docent tour, join the evening party at Flowers After Hours, and bring your children to Family Day on Saturday.
