The annual Belwin Conservancy Open House is coming up this Saturday from 6-9pm. A free, fun for the whole family type of event which is of course our favorite kind of event! Winter evening events for the whole family are a little harder to come by.
If you aren’t familiar with the Belwin Conservancy, it’s located near the picturesque town of Afton. If you aren’t able to make this event add it to your list of places to check out.
Some of the activities taking place during the open house include:
- Night hikes
- Warm Drinks and S’mores
- Campfire
- Naturalist talks
- Activities
- Carpenter Nature Center staff will bring their red-tailed hawk and hognose snake and will speak at 6:30 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m.
- Katie Burns of Audubon Minnesota will share fun owl activities.
- Minnesota Astronomical Society members will be on hand to guide attendees in using the Joseph J. Casby Observatory.
Although this event is free they have an option to RSVP, with events like this it is often appreciated for planning purposes.
