Well, this is sad news! Bunker Beach Water Park will remain closed for the 2020 Season. During its meeting yesterday, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners voted to keep the park closed this summer as a public safety measure due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Via their Facebook page, Bunker Beach stated they’ll be contacting customers who already purchased Bunker Beach Water Park season passes to arrange for full refunds to be issued.
With the closure of all Minneapolis public pools and beaches remaining closed for the summer and now Bunker Beach, we’re likely to see the same from other cities and counties throughout the state.
This is making it look like we might have to start planning for our own water fun at home this year. It might be the time to plan ahead and buy some water slides or pools for the backyard. Here are some we have found:

Just to be clear, despite our governor is planning to reopening the economy like hopefully next month and if our state reopens like early next month, what wouldn’t make ANY sense in my opinion, that the remaining beaches and water parks to be shut down all of this Summer because the St. Louis Park rec center is closed now through May 4th and facilities at the Minnetonka community center is closed now until further notice like it could open up next month and etc. I am trying to make a good point.
