The recently opened Hoċokata Ti – Cultural Center and Public Exhibit is hosting a CommUNITY Day. The cultural center is located near Shakopee and is owned and operated by the Mdewakanton Sioux Community. There’s typically a small admission fee to get into the center however for the CommUNITY day, there’s no admission.

Join the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community in sharing and learning Native American culture and history on Saturday, November 16! An open house event will be held at Hoċokata Ti – Cultural Center and Public Exhibit offering the chance to experience and learn about arts and crafts, indigenous food, gaming history, and more! Guests will also have the opportunity to visit the public exhibit “Mdewakanton: Dwellers of the Spirit Lake”. Doors open at 8am!
