Anyone remember folk dancing in grade school P.E.? (Or was that just at my school?) Whether you’ve tried folk dancing before or are brand new to it, you can show up the second Saturday of each month for Family Dance at Tapestry Folkdance Center in Minneapolis.
Family Dance happens from 6:30 – 8 pm and costs $12/family, $6/individual, or pay what you can. They have many other events happening throughout the month if this isn’t quite the right fit.
The focus is on simple, easy-to-learn dances that everyone can enjoy. A caller teaches dances from the British Isles and America, including group circle and longways dances and play-party (singing) games.
Live music every month.
Breaks will feature snacks and kid-friendly activities.
All ages welcome!
Tapestry Folkdance Center is located at 3748 Minnehaha Avenue in Minneapolis.
