It’s fair time! Dakota County fair time that is… although the MN State Fair is just around the corner. The Dakota County Fair is August 8-14th. Today August 8th is FREE ADMISSION DAY! A great thrifty day to go, when you can save some money. Of course that just means you have more money to spend on fair food, yum! Daycare Centers/Businesses can buy advance tickets for $1.00 per child and $2.00 at the gate. As always, children 5 and under are FREE!

As a Thank You for serving our country – FREE admission, FREE parking and 1/2 price Grandstand entry for all military personnel and their immediate family with a military ID on this day only!
Senior Day – Thursday, August 11, 2016
FREE Admission and FREE Parking for Seniors age 60+.

Kristi is married with twin girls in high school. She grew up on a small dairy farm, but now lives in the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. She enjoys finding free or thrifty things to do whether they are outings close to home or last minute adventures to far-away places.
Kristi can also be found enjoying estate sales, attempting to garden, volunteering in the wetlands or a favorite thrift store, or maybe just enjoying a good play in one of the many theatre venues in the area.
