The USDA recently extended the free meals for kids program that had been going on all summer long. This is GREAT news as it means kids across Minnesota (and the rest of the country, of course!) will have access to free meals through their school districts – even if they are learning from home.
There is NO income requirement for picking up these meals. They are truly available to everyone, and you are encouraged to take advantage of it.

Now, just like every district differs in terms of what their current school situation looks like, they also differ in how they’re administering this program.
Some are offering meals to enrolled students only, while others give meals to all children in the district. Some districts are offering daily curbside pickup, while others require you to order a box ahead of time for the week.
This program will last through December 31, 2020 or until funding is exhausted.
