Lakewood Cemetery is so much more than just a cemetery. Located in Minneapolis not far from the uptown area and the Linden Hills Neighborhood. The grounds of Lakewood are beautiful and its rich history dates back to 1871.
Lakewood has several interesting events coming up. The Chapel was recently announced as a venue for some small concerts. Although they sold out not long after they were announced, we are hopeful they might add more. Watch their event page to see if more are added.
Another event coming up in April is the Greenhouse tour and planting event. You can reserve a spot for a 30 minute tour to learn about Lakewood’s horticultural history and see what they have in store for this spring’s flower beds. After the tour, you can put your own green thumb to work and plant something to take home.
Some of the most interesting places to visit happen to be the most unexpected and Lakewood Cemetery is one of those. Offering history, education, nature and more.
