With the weather pretending to be spring one day, then winter the next, it’s tough to decide what to do with the kids. I remember when our girls were younger, we would try to find all the fun playgrounds. Finding a new and different park, meant exploring and having new adventures. The best part, was packing a fun lunch and having a thrifty day outdoors.
The tough part of being caught between winter and spring, is staying up to date on what parks are open and closed. Luckily the Three Rivers Park District is great at keeping us in the loop. Check here on their website before you head out exploring.
We have multiple areas designed for varying ages and abilities where toddlers to teens can let their imagination run wild. Monkey business never sounded so fun! The structures are inspected every year prior to opening and daily by Three Rivers Staff to ensure safety.
Please observe the play area closed postings. We know that everyone is excited to get to the play areas as the weather warms. Park staff will be opening play areas as soon the ground has thawed and play area inspections are complete.
