Around this time of year we spend a little extra time with family, and while that’s mostly fun, sometimes we need a break. Ice Skating is a great way to have family time outdoors. Thankfully most of the towns in MN have opened the outdoor ice rinks or will be doing so shortly. Bloomington for example, has several and you can find the map, the hours and locations here. Some have warming houses, and even an area to rent skates, while others are more basic.
Do you have a favorite place to ice skating? Growing up in the country we had a few options of places we could ice skate but it usually involved checking with my Dad first to make sure the ice conditions were safe and then we had to shovel the snow off the ice. The process was long but all the fun was the reward and worth it!
