Get ready to head to Brooten for this year’s Redhead Creamery Curd Fest featuring vendors, bands and thousands of cheese curds!
We were excited for the Curdfest at the Redhead Creamery last year and then like most things it was cancelled. We were over the moon to discover they are giving it another try this year. Mark your calendar for the Curdfest, it’s taking place June 19th at the Redhead Creamery near Brooten.
Over the years I’ve come to really enjoy branching out and trying different cheese curds along with different dipping options. Cheese curds used to be a once a year thing at the State Fair, thankfully for those of us that love them, their popularity seems to be growing.
The Curdfest will have live music, food, drink, fun for all ages and of course it also celebrates the beloved cheese curd. Admission is $12 in advance here on their website or $15 at the door. Children 11 and under are free.
Some of the fun planned for the upcoming Curdfest include:
-
Two bands
-
Three food trucks
-
Three breweries
-
Two wineries
-
At least five other vendors from Minnesota food and craft companies
-
All your favorite cheese foods
-
VIP Package: Admission, Early entry coffee and donuts with Alise, T-shirt, Exclusive Curd Fest 2021 mug, Cheese Curds, Farm Tour ticket, cheese stickers, VIP seating
I’m excited to see events returning this year and love to support small businesses so this event seems to be a win-win and I for one am looking forward to it. I prefer more spur of the moment when attending things but if there’s one thing this past year has taught me, planning can be a good thing. Also planning in advance is likely going to be a requirement going forward if we want to attend fun events.
Important to note:
**In the event of a COVID or weather related closure, the cost of your ticket will be transferred to a gift card. In a time of uncertainty, we don’t want you to have to gamble.
