We all made it through Thanksgiving, Black Friday is today. Well tomorrow is Small Business Saturday. I like to seek out small businesses and support them, which is what Small Business Saturday is really about. American Express started the campaign back in 2010, and it has sort of become it’s own thing. Many small businesses have special events and discounts just for Small Business Saturday. A couple of my favorite small businesses:
Tare Market is a store I wish was closer to my home, located in Minneapolis not too far from Minnehaha Falls, it has so many amazing items. The Tare Market has a goal to provide eco-friendly products and educational resources that will help you live a more sustainable, zero waste lifestyle! They also offer some classes. For those that like to give experiences as gifts, a class is a great idea.
Southside Vintage and Quality Goods is unique in so many ways. Are you looking for something unique for your home or how about a gift for that hard to buy for person Southside Vintage and Quality Goods is one of those places you have to walk through several times to see it all. Located located in South Minneapolis, it’s filled with furniture, decorative household items, clothing and all things in between. It’s not open all the time so you’ll need to check their instagram or FB page for hours and dates. Plus there’s something for every budget!
There are countless small businesses in every community and town. Support your favorites, not just today but everyday, help them continue to thrive. What’s your favorite small business? We would love to visit it sometime.
