Join the movement to pitch in and improve our parks on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 for the 26th annual National Public Lands Day!
There will be approximately 1,000 volunteering events around the country, including lots happening in our neck of the woods! Use the interactive map to find an event near you, and check back as events are still being added.

Besides enjoying volunteering, you can also spend some time experiencing the parks themselves as the day is a fee-free day for all national parks as well as many state and local parks.
I did a quick search to find events happening near me (I am in the Twin Cities) and found several. Here’s just a snippet:
AHATS Fall Clean up and Trail Maintenance (Arden Hills): 10:30 am – 2 pm
Hidden Falls Regional Park (St. Paul): 10 am – 3 pm
Coldwater Spring in Mississippi National River and Recreation Area (Minneapolis): 9 am – 12 pm
Planting for Pollinators (Bloomington): 9 am – 12 pm
and LOTS more!
Head to the interactive map to find an event near you and to register so they know you’re coming.
