With no school for the next week or so, you might be looking for activities to fill up the hours and days. Winter Fun Days at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge takes place Dec 27th-29th. Each day offers fun for all ages, with specific things taking place from 10-2. The fun activities and events are free and no registration required. Some of activities will be outdoors while other things happen inside the visitor center.
Drop-in self guided activities:
-Wildlife craft tables: make-and-take bird feeders and wildlife suncatchers
-Woodland Story Stroll: Read a winter story from giant book pages along the trail.
-Winter activities: Wildlife Walker – A Wildlife Walking Challenge
-Giant habitat puzzles
-Create a monarch butterfly in the Monarch Shanty
-Observe birds at our wildlife feeders. Check out a pair of binoculars for free!
-Winter Coloring Table
-December 27: Youth Photography Workshops 10am & 1pm
-December 28: Free Family Movie 10am
-December 29: Live Raptor Program 11am
