Christmas in Germany at the Germanic- American Institute is December 6th and 7th this year in St. Paul.
I always look forward to the many holiday events around the Twin Cities in December. Christmas in Germany is no exception! This celebration of German Christmas traditions takes place Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 7th, 10am- 4pm both days.
Christmas in Germany is now a time ticketed event. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children (ages 4-17) and children 3 and under are free but still require a ticket. The tickets have timed entry, but once you are in you’re welcome to stay as long as you like.
Toast the season with a beer or warm up with some Glühwein (hot mulled wine), a bratwurst and pretzel, some homemade soup, or some German cake and coffee. The Haus will be decorated from the Rathskeller to the ballroom, with music and seasonal goods for sale. Food and drink will be outdoors in their new large heated tent.
Will you attend Christmas in Germany this year? Let us know in the comments if you go!
