Don’t skip Crayola Experience at Mall of America– it’s especially fun for kids of all ages!
Have you been to Crayola Experience at Mall of America? I will admit it was years since I had been, but I went back for FREE on my birthday and had a great time with my toddler!
I’d heard about the free birthday admission and wanted to find out for myself if it was real and it is! Admission is kind of steep if you don’t have any discounts– general admission for all ages is $30.99! But keep reading and we will share some additional ways to save on admission.
My art-obsessed toddler had a great time at Crayola Experience! There was a good mix of hands-on art activities, large motor play, art experiments, a live show and so much more. My daughter’s favorites included the stomp and play interactive floor games, making her own crayons with a custom label, sculpting with model magic, playing on giant playground– the list goes on and on.
I also had so much fun! I loved making our own custom crayons– picking the name on the label also makes a fun souvenir of your experience! My other favorites included the drip art (I love the idea of melting crayons but I don’t really want that mess at MY house!) and the melt and mold custom crayons. It was extra fun and nostalgic to make my own Babe the Blue Ox! I was very impressed with the CrayolaBot- a special robot that could turn selfies into drawings in seconds. I know my older kiddos would have loved to try it out!
I did love the option to grab a Crayola Experience hand stamp, so you could easily come and go from Crayola Experience all day. This is especially helpful during lunchtime– The Rainforest Cafe, Margaritaville and many other restaurants are right next door if you need to take a lunch break!
