Any animal lovers in your house? You should add Fawn Doe Rosa Wildlife Educational Park in St. Croix Falls on your summer bucket list!

Fawn Doe Rosa is a Wildlife Educational Park in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, right across the border of Minnesota near Taylor’s Falls. If you’re looking for a fun day trip this summer, we’d highly recommend visiting!
Fawn Doe Rosa has been family owned and operated since 1963. It’s a very special place to visit for animal lovers! Of course there are tons of farm animals to see and feed, but the special part are free-roaming animals!
When you enter, you have the option to buy animal food at the door– and you should definitely do it if you want to have an up close experience with the animals at Fawn Doe Rosa! The trail is over a mile long and includes all the typical farm animals in the farm yard: goats, chickens, cows, mini horses, ducks, llamas and more. These animals are behind fences and very fun to feed! Just remind your kids to not give away all the food to the first animal they see like mine did!
There are also pony rides for an additional fee as well as a petting area where you can meet the animals and ask questions of the staff. An educational building houses indoor animals like amphibians, chicken eggs in the incubator, ferrets, birds and more. This building is also a great stop if you need a break from the heat outside or some down time! We spotted a coloring table and my kiddos enjoyed a break in the AC.
Further on the trail you will find more animals to visit in their enclosures — foxes, skunks, woodchucks, wolves, elk, bobcats, lynxes, badgers and more! There are lots of educational signs to learn more about the animals along with their name tags.
In my opinion, the real cherry on the sundae at Fawn Doe Rosa are the free roaming deer! My kids and I had a blast feeding and being around the deer. My only tip– try to save your animal food for this section because it’s so fun to feed and interact with the deer up close.
Fawn Doe Rosa is located at 2131 US Highway 8, St. Croix Falls, WI 54024. They are open daily 10am- 5pm now through September 13th. Adults are $12/tax and kids ages 2-12 are $11/tax. Animal feed is $3/bag, animal feed in a souvenir bucket is $9/bucket and pony rides are $6/child. They do charge a 3% credit card fee so bring cash to save on that!
