The Gopher State Railway Museum in New Prague is hosting a Pumpkin Express Train on October 11th
The Gopher State Railway Museum is located two miles north of New Prague on 20 acres of land where it is developing an operating railroad museum. The mission of Gopher State Railway Museum is to educate the public through collection, preservation, restoration, display and operation of railroad equipment and artifacts.
The Gopher State Railway Museum is open to the public every first Saturday of the month, May through October between 10am – 4pm. While you’re there, visitors can ride the train and also tour other pieces of railroad rolling stock including an 1880 Pullman car built for the St Paul, Minneapolis & Manitoba Railway and used extensively as James J Hill’s private railroad car.
On Saturday, October 11th, the Gopher Railway Museum is hosting a Pumpkin Express Train from 10am – 5pm. Ride the train to the pumpkin patch, pick out a pumpkin to bring home, enjoy a cookie and a beverage before heading home. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 16 years old, and children 2 and under are FREE!
