Did you know Michaels hosts In-Store Craft Experiences? I have to admit I’ve shopped Michaels for years and didn’t know about these events!
UPDATE: Many of these events are completely free but some require attendees to buy select supplies. For complete details, visit the Michaels website.

–Kids Club: Quilted Foam Art, Saturday, September 12th, 10am- noon, ages 4+, free event
–Sunday Event: Learn and Talk about the Brother Embroidery Machine, Sunday, September 13th, 1-3pm, ages 3+, free event
–Wednesday Make a Project: Embroidered Sweatshirt featuring Gutermann Thread, Wednesday, September 16th, 6-8pm, ages 13+, you can bring your own sweatshirt or purchase one from Michaels
–Sunday Event: Halloween Scrunchies featuring Bernatex Fabric, Sunday, September 20th, 1-3pm, ages 13+, free event
–Tuesday Community Sewing Night: Patchwork, Tuesday, September 22nd, 6-8pm, ages 13+, free event

More about Michaels Online Experiences
Michaels also has Online Experiences which are basically free online craft workshops. They give you a detailed list of supplies, which you can choose to buy at Michaels or elsewhere. The classes are taught by artists. I took a few of these during the pandemic and they were very fun and insightful! Currently Michaels has a bunch of jewelry, crochet and kids classes online.
