Did you know Michaels hosts In-Store Craft Experiences? I have to admit I’ve shopped Michaels for years and didn’t know about these events!
UPDATE: Many of these events are completely free but some require attendees to buy select supplies. For complete details, visit the Michaels website.

-Mother’s Day Vinyl Mug, Sunday, May 3rd 1-3pm, FREE except you buy the mug to use, ages 13+
-Kids Club: Mother’s Day Flower Stamped Card and Thumbprint Necklace, Saturday, May 9th 10am – noon, FREE, all ages
-Balloons with Bows Demos + Decoupage Mason Jar with Floral, Sunday, May 10th 1- 3pm, FREE except you buy the mason jar, ages 13+
-Jonthan Adler Paint by Number + Product Showcase, Sunday, May 17th 1- 3pm, FREE, ages 13+
-Kids Club: DIY Kid’s Bookmarks, Saturday, May 23rd 10am – noon, FREE, all ages
-Junk Journals, Sunday, May 24th 1- 3pm, FREE, ages 13+
More about Michaels Online Experiences
Michaels also has Online Experiences which are basically free online craft workshops. They give you a detailed list of supplies, which you can choose to buy at Michaels or elsewhere. The classes are taught by artists. I took a few of these during the pandemic and they were very fun and insightful! Currently Michaels has a bunch of jewelry, crochet and kids classes online.
