The Minnesota Bat Festival is coming up, August 19th. It takes place at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge in Bloomington. It’s a free event and open to all ages. Some of the activities at the event include:
- Live Animals
Our first bat festival ever in Minnesota! Celebrate the unique role of bats in ecosystems as insect eaters, while dispelling myths and misinformation that generate needless fears and threaten bats and their habitats around the world.
The festival features activities for children, families, educators and conservation professionals. Presentations, speakers, live animals, hands-on activities, games for kids, and interactive exhibits provide a full day of fun and environmental education.
Additionally, please join us later that night, from 8 PM to 10 PM for Science Night at the Minnesota Valley Wildlife Refuge to watch bats emerge at sunset!
