Parktacular brings together residents and visitors for a weekend of family entertainment, community spirit, live music, food, outdoor activities, and one of the area’s favorite summer parades. Most events are free to attend, making it an affordable way to kick off the summer season.
What is Parktacular?
Parktacular is St. Louis Park’s annual community festival, organized to bring together local businesses, organizations, and residents in a celebration of community pride. The festival has roots dating back more than a century and has become one of the city’s most anticipated summer traditions.
Most festival activities take place at Wolfe Park and the St. Louis Park Rec Center, creating a central hub of family-friendly entertainment throughout the weekend.

Parktacular 2026 Highlights
Splash Into Summer Pool Event
Start the festivities on Friday evening with the Splash Into Summer Pool Event at the Rec Center Aquatic Park. Guests showing a Parktacular button can enjoy free admission and cool off with an evening of swimming and water fun.
Grand Day Parade
The Grand Day Parade is the signature event of Parktacular and a longtime summer tradition in St. Louis Park.
Families line the streets with lawn chairs and blankets to watch colorful floats, marching groups, local organizations, performers, and community participants make their way through town. The parade takes place rain or shine and remains one of the festival’s most popular attractions.
Kidtacular
Kids will find plenty to do during Kidtacular, a family-focused area featuring activities, demonstrations, games, face painting, balloon artists, and opportunities to meet local police and fire personnel. It’s designed specifically to keep children entertained for hours.
Tommy’s School of Fishing
Young anglers can learn fishing basics from experienced instructors during Tommy’s School of Fishing. Rods and reels are provided for the clinic, making it easy for beginners to participate and learn new skills.
Parktacular Expo
Explore dozens of local businesses, organizations, and community groups at the Parktacular Expo. Visitors can gather information, discover local resources, collect freebies, and connect with businesses serving the St. Louis Park area.

Food Trucks
Come hungry! Food trucks will be serving throughout the day with a variety of options ranging from savory favorites to sweet treats. It’s a great way to sample local flavors while enjoying the festival atmosphere.
Rock the Park Concert
Wrap up Saturday with live music at the free Rock the Park Concert in Wolfe Park. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an evening of outdoor entertainment with family and friends.
Miniature Art Hunt
One of the festival’s most unique traditions is the Miniature Art Hunt. Tiny pieces of artwork are hidden throughout St. Louis Park parks, encouraging families to explore local green spaces while searching for creative treasures. This year’s theme is dogs.
Juneteenth Celebration
Parktacular concludes with a Juneteenth celebration on Sunday, providing an opportunity for community members to come together and honor the significance of the holiday through special programming and activities.
