Are your kids thinking they might want to play hockey? Try Hockey for Free Day is their chance to try it!
The official Try Hockey for Free Day is Saturday, February 22, 2025! Kids ages 4 to 9 years old can try hockey for free at over 450 local associations (over a dozen of those being in Minnesota) as part of Hockey Week Across America.
Most locations have loaner equipment available for use.
To see local rinks participating on February 22, visit Minnesota Hockey for a list of the dates and locations. Registration is required!
When October 2025 rolls around you can also use the Minnesota Hockey site for info, but you can also find the closest location to you by visiting the Try Hockey for Free website and scrolling down to search and find a participating rink.
You can then click the link on the map to find time/location information and register.
