Have you been to a show under the Big Top at Circus Juventus? Located in St. Paul, Circus Juventas is a non-profit organization and a performing arts circus school for youth. Currently Circus Juventas has 819 students on their roster!
This year’s holiday show is entitled Blizzard! It’s a fun mash up of multiple holiday stories and winter chaos featuring amazing circus feats, dancing, gorgeous costumes, fun sets and more. My son and I had the opportunity to visit behind the scenes during a dress rehearsal earlier this week and the show is amazing!
My favorite part was watching the mischievous elves who stir up all kinds of trouble in the north pole. They have amazing expressions and really make every holiday story fun to watch. My son loved it all! He seriously couldn’t pick a section he liked more than the others. We both enjoyed the way the holiday stories were woven with the circus acts.
There are over 50 performers in Blizzard! and all are students of Circus Juventas aged 9 to 18. It’s truly amazing what these student performers can do!
Running 70 minutes with no intermission, this fast paced and exciting performance is sure to keep kids of all ages entertained. Plus it’s not every day you get to see a live show in an actual big top! Also there is plenty of parking available right in front of the big top, which is always nice when you’re bringing younger kids to a show.

- Friday, December 6th at 7pm
- Saturday, December 7th at 1pm and 5pm
- Sunday, December 8th at 1pm
- Thursday, December 12th at 7pm (discount ticket info below!)
- Friday, December 13th at 7pm
- Saturday, December 14th at 1pm and 5pm
- Sunday, December 15th at 1pm and 5pm
Tickets are $35, but we have a discount code you can use for the Thursday, December 12th performance. Use code ELF to get $20 tickets to that show! Tickets are available on their website.
