The Galleria and Bachman’s have teamed up to bring you an artistic floral event with an Into the Deep theme for the 2024 Galleria Floral Experience!
Our spring tradition over the last number of years has been the Galleria flower show. The Galleria and Bachman’s have teamed up to bring some amazing and artistic floral events, each year with a different theme.
This year’s theme is Into the Deep, focusing on the flora and fauna of the ocean! It features vibrant, bright colors, sea installations, and surreal plants and flowers, waving with the tide.
Located throughout the Galleria in Edina, the floral experience is free with no admission charge. The Galleria is even offering free valet parking throughout the event. (Located at the east entrance near CōV Restaurant.)
Get your eyes and nose ready for this floral event running from March 24 to April 7th.
At times it can get busy, so if you don’t like crowds or want to have the opportunity to snap the best photos without a wait, try to pick an off time, a weekday, an early morning or later in the evening.
When we walked through the amazing display last year, I was surprised by the smell, reminding me that spring is closer than we think. Just for a bit you can wander and pretend we’re no longer in winter.

Galleria Floral Experience Fun Facts
- $0 is the cost of visiting the Floral Experience. This event will be free to all Galleria visitors during regular Galleria operating hours from March 24 – April 7.
- 100 different types of flowers, trees, and plants are used in creating World of Wonder!
- 20 blooming displays and vignettes throughout Galleria bring the Floral Experience to life.
- More than 3,000 bulbs are coaxed into early blooming by the experts at Bachman’s for this even. To keep things looking fresh, all the flowering bulbs are replaced halfway through the run by the night shift gardeners who keep the exhibit groomed.
- The biggest tree in the show measures 10 feet tall.
- The smallest flower (primrose) compares at a tiny two inches.
- The plants are carefully prepared to bloom early in Bachman’s greenhouses, 20 minutes south of the Twin Cities. The plants start in their warm greenhouse seven weeks ahead of the show.
- Five semis will transport the elements of the Floral Experience from Bachman’s indoor growing facilities to Galleria for the event.
- More than 20 garden designers, installers, and expert horticulturalists at Bachman’s work on preparing and installing this project.
- 4,166 miles is the farthest distance a bulb might travel to take part–from Holland to Minneapolis! Other plants will arrive from Florida, California, Ohio and South America!
- It will take the Bachman’s team four overnight shifts, March 19-22, from the hours of 8 p.m. – 6 a.m., to bring in all the plants and to install the vignettes. Additional finishing touches will be completed Saturday, March 23, in preparation for the March 24 grand opening.
