Hennepin County Swap-It Events

Join Hennepin County Swap-It events to give and receive items for free, reduce waste, and build community—no registration needed!

At a Swap-It event you can bring gently used items you no longer need and take home stuff you can use. In a nutshell, you can Swap It—for free.

And you don’t have to bring anything to the swap in order to take something home. EVERYONE is welcome to participate. The goal of the events is to create a fun and sustainable way to reduce waste, share resources and support local reuse efforts while building community at the same time.

When gathering items to brind to the swap, make sure they are clean and in good working condition. Each swap will have a specific list of what is and is not accepted. They need to adhere to the theme of the event!

No registration is required and kids are welcome.

Holiday Decor Swap

A Holiday Decor Swap-It event is planned for Saturday, September 26, from 12 to 2:00pm at Eden Prairie Community Center.

This swap is for all types of holiday decorations from candles and centerpiece supplies to Christmas trees, gift wrap, ornaments, seasonal linens and more. This is for ALL holidays including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and more.

Kitchen Gadgets Swap

A Kitchen Gadget Swap-It event is planned for Saturday, November 7, from 12 to 2:00pm at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Bloomington.

This swap is for everything from air fryers, coffeemakers and blenders to cooking utensils, bakeware, mixing bowls, serving plates and more. It covers most anything you would use to cook, bake, serve or store food.
