Did you know you can experience the first-ever outdoor Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioned rodeo this summer in the Twin Cities at the Minneapolis Rodeo? This brand-new event is fun for the whole family with family-friendly rodeo programming, along with a music fest, vendor market, line dancing and so much more!
The event is on Saturday, June 6th at Surly Brewing Festival Field. The day starts out with lots of family-fun! Starting at noon you can expect mutton busting, mechanical bull riding, interactive western experiences, daytime music performances and line dancing.
After 4pm, the festival switches gears and the professional rodeo takes place. See riders take on the PRCA-sanctioned professional rodeo, earning prizes and a place to continue on at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas! Rodeo events include Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping and Breakaway Roping.
After the rodeo concludes, the festival turns into country music concert with local act The Cactus Blossoms taking the stage at 6:45pm followed by Nikki Lane at 8:30pm.
