2025 Minnesota Trunk or Treat Events.

My kids love dressing up every year for Halloween and getting a stash of candy…I can’t think of any kid that doesn’t love doing that!

Many families still go door-to-door for trick-or-treating, while others may choose alternatives for a number of reasons (medical issues, staying up late on a school night, etc.).

leftover halloween candy

Here’s an option you may want to consider: Trunk or Treat! Trunk or Treat events have been taking place for quite a while as an alternative (or addition!) to door-to-door trick-or-treating.

Many churches have been holding annual events for years, and now some cities, clubs and other organizations are hosting their own events.

Mother and Kids at car for Trunk or Treat

To help you out, we’ve compiled a list of Minnesota Trunk or Treat events. Most of them will have you moving from trunk to trunk to get candy, trinkets or other goodies at each stop.

Besides the normal trunk or treat and drive-thru events, this year’s list includes other Halloween-themed events in which kids get treats, even if they’re not marketed specifically as a “trunk or treat” event. Some of the events are even held inside, which can be good in the case of bad weather.

Our hope is that this gives you plenty of options to choose from so you can have the most fun possible!

We’ve tried to include as many as we can, but please leave a comment or email chrysa @thriftyminnesota.com if you know of any we missed that you feel we should include.

Thank you for these awesome options for a safer Halloween during the pandemic. Out of precaution for our family’s health, we are avoiding the traditional door-to-door experience. Covid has really put a damper on our Halloween fun- but this list offers great alternatives. The 🚗 symbol for drive-thru events were especially helpful while scrolling. Happy Halloween! 🎃
