Get ready to see some amazing creations at Monticello, Let’s Chalk!

UPDATE: Unfortunately, Monticello, Let’s Chalk has announced that it will NOT be happening in 2026. They said, “While we don’t know what the future holds, we’re hopeful that Let’s Chalk may return when the timing is right.”
Chalk art is really in right now! Have you seen any in-person yet? The fun weekend northwest of the Twin Cities in Monticello is a free two-day chalk festival spanning Saturday and Sunday.
2025 is the 3rd Annual Monticello, Let’s Chalk. You can expect to see mind-bending art, pop culture icons, mandalas and more all along Walnut and River Streets in downtown Monticello. This year over 20 professional chalk artists will be featured over the course of the festival. And they will have space for kids to create their own chalk art masterpieces as well!
Beyond the amazing chalk art, there will also be entertainment, food and family fun. The food vendors are all local businesses including the new downtown candy and chocolate shop Cocoa Maas. There will also be food options from Cornerstone Cafe, La Michoacana Delights, and the Nordic Brewpub. Von Hanson’s Meats will also have pulled pork, brats and hot dogs on Sunday only.
