Get ready to see some amazing creations at Monticello, Let’s Chalk this weekend, August 24- 25!
Chalk art is really in right now! Have you seen any in-person yet? This weekend you have the chance to head northwest of the Twin Cities to Monticello, Let’s Chalk, a free two-day chalk festival this Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th, 10am – 5pm each day.
This year is the 3rd Annual Monticello, Let’s Chalk. You can expect to see mind-bending art, pop culture icons, mandalas and more all along Walnut and River Streets in downtown Monticello. This year over 20 professional chalk artists will be featured over the course of the festival. And they will have space for kids to create their own chalk art masterpieces as well!
Beyond the amazing chalk art, there will also be entertainment, food and family fun. The food vendors are all local businesses including the new downtown candy and chocolate shop Cocoa Maas. There will also be food options from Cornerstone Cafe, La Michoacana Delights, and the Nordic Brewpub. Von Hanson’s Meats will also have pulled pork, brats and hot dogs on Sunday only.
