We had a super fun day in Duluth today with on the North Shore Scenic Railroad for Day Out With Thomas®: The Go Go Thomas Tour 2013. Before I tell you about it, I should let you know you still have time to go!! The last two days for this year are Saturday and Sunday, August 10-11. Besides the fun ride with Thomas the Tank Engine, himself, there are lots of other fun activities to enjoy.
We started out with the actual train ride itself. It’s a 25 minute ride along the shore of the lake with a great view. The train cars are even decorated with Thomas decorations inside and each kid gets a Jr. Engineer Certificate! We grabbed seats on the upper level of the train car and had a really good vantage point for seeing the lake. We even drove by the paths where we had ridden a bike earlier in the day.
Here are a few more pictures from the train ride:
After the train ride, there were lots of other fun activities to enjoy (see a big list at the bottom of this post). Little R had the most fun playing mini golf, but he also loved the inflatables including a bounce house, giant slide and obstacle course, as well as building with over-sized construction blocks.
This is the 18th year of the tour and it only hits 45 cities across the United States. Plan a day trip to Duluth and your family can enjoy:
· A 25-minute (approximate) ride with Thomas the Tank Engine
· Meet Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway
· A Thomas & Friends Imagination Station; featuring stamps, temporary tattoos, hands-on arts & crafts, train tables, and coloring sheets.
· Storytelling, video viewing and live music
