More About the Film
“September 5″ unveils the decisive moment that forever changed media coverage and continues to impact live news today. Set during the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics, the film follows an American Sports broadcasting team that quickly adapted from sports reporting to live coverage of the Israeli athletes taken hostage. Through this lens, “September 5” provides a fresh perspective on the live broadcast seen globally by an estimated one billion people at the time.
The film stars Peter Sarsgaard, John Magaro, Ben Chaplin, Leonie Benesch, Daniel Adeosun, Corey Johnson, Solomon Mousley, Georgina Rich, Marcus Rutherford and Zinedine Soualem.

Here’s your chance to see SEPTEMBER 5 before it comes to theaters on January 17th! You’re invited to an advance preview screening on Wednesday, January 15th at 7pm at The Main Cinema in Minneapolis. Get your passes here. Tickets are first come, first serve and seats are not guaranteed, so we’d recommend getting there early if you get a pass! If the screening is listed as full, we recommend signing up for the Wait List as additional tickets are sometimes released.
