new amsterdam nbc

NEW AMSTERDAM is coming to NBC Tuesdays this fall, but you can have a sneak peek at a special advance screening this week, complete with complimentary refreshments!

Inspired by Bellevue, the oldest public hospital in America, this unique medical drama follows the brilliant and charming Dr. Max Goodwin, the institution’s newest medical director, who sets out to tear up the bureaucracy and provide exceptional care. How can he help? Well, the doctors and staff have heard this before.

Not taking “no” for an answer, Dr. Goodwin must disrupt the status quo and prove he will stop at nothing to breathe new life into this understaffed, underfunded and underappreciated hospital – the only one in the world capable of treating Ebola patients, prisoners from Rikers and the president of the United States under one roof – and return it to the glory that put it on the map.

Discover the courage of compassion through the eyes of parents journeying towards acceptance of their one-of-a-kind kids. Based on The New York Times bestseller by Andrew Solomon, Far From the Tree is an intimate, profoundly human look at families raising children society deems “abnormal”: a mother and son determined to show the world that his Down syndrome does not define him; a couple learning to communicate with their bright but nonverbal autistic son; a young woman dealing with what it means to be the only little person in her family; and parents whose deep love for their son persists even after he has committed an unspeakable crime. SEARCHING Advanced Screening in Roseville

I’m not a fan of horror movies, but I do enjoy a good thriller! That’s what we get with SEARCHING, coming to theaters August 3rd, starring John Cho and Debra Messing.

SEARCHING is a suspense/thriller film that has won the Alfred P. Sloan Prize as well as the NEXT Audience Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. In the film, after David Kim (John Cho)’s 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a local investigation is opened and a detective is assigned to the case. But 37 hours later and without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked yet, where all secrets are kept today: his daughter’s laptop. In a hyper-modern thriller told via the technology devices we use every day to communicate, David must trace his daughter’s digital footprints before she disappears forever.

While the movie doesn’t open in theaters until August 3, YOU could see it before then! Download a pair of passes here to see it on June 27 at 7 pm in Roseville at AMC Rosedale. Passes are available to download while supplies last. Be sure to arrive early as seating is on a first come, first served basis.
