Stop by the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum for the Spring Flower Show January 31st- March 15th, 2026.
I don’t know about you, but there’s something about visiting lots of plants and flowers during the winter that just fills my heart with joy! I love seeing all the colors and feeling the warmth around me. It always helps me beat the winter blues!
There’s no better place to beat the winter blues than the Landscape Arboretum’s Spring Flower Show. Running from January 31st- March 15th, the Spring Flower Show is included in the daily admission to the Arboretum. Adults are $20/day and children under 15 are free (but they must be accompanied by a paying adult).
My daughter and I had so much fun on our visit last year. This year we are looking forward to seeing how the Arboretum dives into the theme: water! Drawing inspiration from Minnesota’s lakes, rivers and wetlands and the life they support, this year’s show will feature thousands of plants, including flowering spring bulbs, lush green plants, orchids and tropicals.
Visitors will find ever-changing blooms and creative water-themed vignettes throughout the show — including a real running stream in the Oswald Visitor Center Great Hall that replicates the Grace B. Dayton Wildflower Garden. Other water-themed displays include an indoor bog, a rustic cabin vignette and a scene depicting the very start of the Mississippi River’s 2,552-mile journey in Itasca State Park.
There are quite a few special events happening throughout the Spring Flower Show including the February Art Fair, Fairy Garden Make and Take Workshops, After Hours with the Flowers and more. These typically do require special admission. Check out the Landscape Arboretum website for dates and fees.
