Tell Me Your Dreams is a world premiere musical based off the best selling book by Amanda Kloots and illustrated by Alex Willmore. It’s the heartwarming story of her son’s bedtime routine and dreamland adventures, where he can visit his beloved Dada.
Tell Me Your Dreams is theatre for the very young: ages 0-5 and takes place in the Jaycees Studio Theatre. The open bench seating is perfect for littles and easy for anyone to take breaks as needed! I took my 3 year old daughter to this show (her very first LIVE theatre experience!) and we did indeed need to take a break. The ushers were very welcoming and used to little kids coming and going.
The show itself is very interactive! The dreamland characters even begin by sitting in the audience, inviting children to color or play before the show begins. Throughout the show they ask the audience to participate with ideas and more as they go on amazing dreamland adventures on a train, to the beach and more!
The show itself is only 45 minutes long with no intermission. That is an ideal show length for kids ages 0-5! As we left, my daughter was given some themed stickers from the show and a Johnny Pop (their treat sponsor for the summer season). It was the perfect first theatre experience for my daughter and we can’t wait to go back to Stages for her next show!

Tickets are $20 for kids and $22 for adults. Tell Me Your Dreams runs through Sunday, August 24th. You can buy tickets on the Stages Theatre website.
