Looking to score textiles for your next project at a big discount? Check out the Textile Garage Sale at the Textile Center in Minneapolis from May 1 – 3!
I just love a good DIY project! While I haven’t gotten into sewing (YET), I have lots of friends that love a good textile project. I’d be a bad friend if I didn’t share this epic sale coming up!
From May 1 to 3, you can shop the Textile Garage Sale at the the Textile Center in Minneapolis. Personally I’ve never been but the photos look amazing – the entire center will be stocked with fabric, yarn, notions, tools, looms, books, needlework and embroidery supplies, and more!
Tickets for Saturday, May 2 from 10 am – 4 pm are priced at $2-$5. Sunday, May 3 from 10 am – 1 pm is FREE entry & discount day (50% off your purchase!).
If you want to shop early on Friday, May 1 from 4 – 7 pm, tickets for the Preview Sale Fundraiser are $35.
Things to keep in mind: tickets are for a 2 hour shopping window, please bring your own bags but strollers and carts are not allowed. This is a cashless event — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover accepted. Kids are welcome at the sale, but must have a ticket and be accompanied by an adult.
Parking is limited on the streets and lots around the area. You can find more about parking on the Textile Center website.

Does this happen every year? Who gets the proceeds? I have a stash I need to reduce sharply–I like the idea of having it go to someone who will enjoy using it while supporting a good cause. If proceeds go directly to donors, (after expenses, of course), that would be OK, too. But I’d like to know. And who to contact about the next sale.
