Step into the world of Vikings this fall! The very first Viking Fest Minnesota will be held at the Dakota County Fairgrounds for two weekends: October 4 and 5 and October 11 and 12, 2025. The good news? You can win tickets for free!
Vikings play a big role in Minnesota culture. Of course we have our football team named after them, but we also have Big Ole and Kensington Runstone Museum in Alexandria plus so many Minnesotans are of Scandinavian heritage with possible Viking ancestors.
If you’re into vikings, Viking Fest Minnesota is an immersive cultural celebration that blends history, mythology, crafts, and entertainment into one unforgettable event. Designed for families, history lovers, and adventurers, it’s the premier destination to enter the Viking Age and live the legend.
This immersive, family-friendly festival brings Viking heritage and Norse mythology to life with hands-on activities, live combat demonstrations, music, crafts, and even feasts worthy of the gods. Whether you’re a history buff, fantasy fan, or just looking for a unique fall adventure, Viking Fest is your chance to “Be a Viking. Live the Legend.”

I’ve always been fascinated by Vikings, so I can’t wait to see this event come to life! From axe throwing to the Viking ship, it feels like such a fun way to mix history, entertainment, and family activities all in one place. I’m especially excited about the living history encampment! I know my family will love exploring the crafts and seeing what life was like in the Viking Age!
