Don’t miss your chance to see these spectacular larger-than-life handmade lanterns at the Minnesota Zoo! Wanderlight Trail is open now through August 2nd.
Brand new to the Minnesota Zoo this year is Wanderlight Trail, featuring spectacular, handmade, larger-than-life lanterns. It’s truly an amazing experience to see these lanterns up close!
Made by Tianyu Arts & Culture artisans, these lanterns were created specifically for the Minnesota Zoo and feature many of the SAFE animals (Saving Animals From Extinction). In addition to the lights, many of the lanterns also move and a few are interactive!
A few things to note about Wanderlight Trail, it’s all outside, rain or shine. We did get rained on the night we came, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for us! You don’t get to see any zoo animals, unless you attend during a speciality night. You’ll get a ticketed time to enter the trail but you can stay as long as you’d like!
We were truly memorized by the lanterns, especially the ones that were interactive and we could walk through. A few even had bubbles! It was very fun to spot our favorite animals! My personal favorites were the peacock and the shark!
