The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is beautiful to visit in all the seasons! But they really deck the halls during Winter Lights, where over one million lights are displayed throughout the Arboretum.
Winter Lights features a one-mile self guided walk with lots of fun stops, including a warming house with hot beverages and s’more supplies, a 16 foot weeping willow tree, a walk through apple and new this year– Winter Woods, a camp scene with glowing tents, campfires and a twinkling moose and deer surrounded by a rustic fence.
Of course there is plenty to do inside as well when you need to warm up! There are delicious snack and dinner options from the Arboretum’s new dining option, Rootstock. The entire visitor center is decorated for the holidays and you can’t forget to take a picture with the iconic 25-foot Cuetlaxóchitl Tree or Poinsettia Tree inside!
Winter Lights is open 5-9pm on weeknights and 5-10pm on Fridays and weekends. Tickets are available on their website for $10 for Landscape Arboretum Members, $30 for nonmembers and FREE for children under 15 with a playing adult.
