The Women’s Club of Minneapolis is a hidden gem of live entertainment.

I was invited to a live concert at The Women’s Club of Minneapolis Lounge. First of all, I had no idea this place was open to the public!
A common misconception of The Women’s Club of Minneapolis is that you have to be a member of the club to enjoy the entertainment. It’s not true! The arts and culture programming is open to the general public. If you haven’t been there yet, you are missing out on this hidden gem!

Through the end of the year, The Women’s Club of Minneapolis is hosting a variety of artists in their Lounge space. It’s a gorgeous, yet intimate atmosphere.
Tickets start at $25 and guests can come early for a full dinner, dessert and drink service. They also continue serving throughout the performance!
The evening that I attended a show in Minneapolis Women’s Club Lounge, I got to see Jennifer Grimm. I had the opportunity to see a few moments of her performance at the Minnesota State Fair this past summer, so when I saw her name on the playbill, I knew this was the performance I needed to attend!
A special type of person would be needed to embody Judy Garland, and while Jennifer herself says she sings “like” Judy, I would say she is JUDY! I was impressed during every moment of her concert and I honestly didn’t want the evening to end.
There are many amazing shows coming up at the Minneapolis Women’s Club Lounge. On Monday, November 20th well known Twin Cities theatre and music veterans Lori Dokken and Michelle Barber will perform together. Lori Dokken will be back on Monday, December 4th for a Staff and Member Holiday Cabaret Show. You can see all the upcoming Minneapolis Women’s Club entertainment options on their website.
I’ll be honest that I didn’t know a lot about the Women’s Club of Minneapolis when I walked through the door, but their history of community outreach and community partnerships is very impressive. Attending their shows allows their amazing mission to continue in the Minneapolis community all while enjoying great entertainment!
