The Minnesota Fiber Festival kicks off this weekend, don’t miss out on dozens of local fiber and yarn vendors along with classes, demonstrations and more!

Minnesota Fiber Festival
On October 18th, the Minnesota Fiber Festival will host vendors from all over Minnesota. Other than local Minnesotan yarn and fibers, there will also be knitting patterns, spindles and spinning accessories, handwoven baskets, locally grown honey, and much more!
The festival will also host classes and demonstrations, as well as activities for children and food. The festival runs from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Isanti County Fairgrounds in Cambridge, MN.

Classes
The Fiber Festival is also offering craft classes with pre-registration online! They offer classes with topics ranging from knitting to how to manage sheep; get your tickets before they sell out!
Some of the classes include the ancient craft of nailbinding, crafting a felted cross body bag, sheep handling, pasture management, and more.

Demonstrations
There are lots of demonstrations to take in at the festival. One of the most popular is sheep herding demos with a team of six border collies.
Learn from lots of crafting demonstrations including hand carding and spinning, lace making and tatting and more. You can also see a traditional Mongolian yurt, made of thick felted wool walls wrapped around a collapsible wooden frame and the Great Wheel – the largest of all spinning wheels.
