Looking for a free event to attend this week? Look no further than the 50th Anniversary Star Party at the Como Planetarium on Thursday, April 17th!
The Como Planetarium is a hidden gem in St. Paul. It has a 55-seat planetarium that specializes in educational experiences. They have been in operation since 1975 and are located in Como Elementary School (they are not located in Como Park…nearby…but not in).
Their state-of-the-art system provides the opportunity for visitors to take virtual trips though the solar system, as well as enjoy quality film productions on their 30 ft. diameter screen.
It’s your chance to check out the Como Planetarium for FREE this Thursday, April 17th from 6:30- 9:30pm for their 50th Anniversary Star Party!
See some of the original equipment, view a classic planetarium film, and celebrate the continuation of unique science education in St Paul. This event includes on-going activities for all ages, telescopes and the planetarium of course!
This event will happen rain or shine so dress for the weather! For more up to date info on the party, check out their Facebook event.
