Visit Andover Sunflower Field in Minnesota for free photo opportunities among these beautiful flowers!
I absolutely LOVE sunflowers – they are so cheery and perfect for brightening a day. There’s just something about sunflowers that says “summer.”
There are lots of sunflower fields in Minnesota, but today we wanted to highlight one that is totally free and opens soon: Andover Sunflower Field.
This is a free, pet-friendly field that features three acres of sunflowers with winding paths and a huge variety of props for photo-taking opportunities.
The field will be open for the season on Thursday, September 5 and is anticipated to be open daily through Sunday, September 22. Field hours are 6:30 am – 7:30 pm daily, rain or shine.
I visited this field last year with my little ones and some friends. It was a perfect day for it and we had so much fun!
While the field is free, donations are appreciated and are used to fund the costs of the field.
Andover Sunflower Field is located at 14861 Prairie Road Northwest in Andover. Parking is free and is located at Prairie Knoll Park across the road. (There’s also a playground at the other end of Prairie Knoll Park if you’re interested in having the kiddos burn off some steam before or after your visit.)
Pets are not only allowed in the field; they are encouraged! There are several pet-friendly props, including a memorial where pets can be remembered.
