Discover the beauty and diversity of art in southeastern Minnesota (along with northeastern Iowa) while also taking in the scenery via the Bluff Country Studio Art Tour!

One of our favorite places to visit is the Bluff area of southern MN. Houston County and Caledonia bring back special memories for our family as my husband’s Grandparents lived there and had a business on main street. The bluff area covers many miles and it’s sprinkled with cute towns and places to explore. We’ve camped, biked and wandered around the bluff area and always seem to find something new each time.

April 25-27 you have a chance to explore it with a purpose during the Bluff Country Studio Art Tour. The self-guided tour features more than 22 artists, studios and galleries. Visitors can see artists at work, and shop for ceramics, turned wood, glass, fiber, sculpture, jewelry and so much more. I’ve enjoyed collecting pottery and also hand crafted fiber items. My husband jokes that I may have too many pottery cups and I remind him there is never such a thing as too many.
Hours are from 10-5 and you’ll find a map of all of the studios that are included in the tour here. They even have an app you can download this year for the studio tour.
Checking the weather it looks to be a great weekend to go exploring. Check out all of the studios and plan out your day. You’ll be sure to find something for yourself or maybe a gift.
