Take a stroll through the historical Village at Dakota City and enjoy Christmas of long ago.

It’s time for Christmas in the Village at Dakota City. Located inside the Dakota County Fairgrounds in Farmington. You can walk or take a horse-drawn carriage through the village to take in the sights and sounds of the season!

This has been an annual event for us for many years. It’s fun to go through some of the buildings and explore. It’s an opportunity to step back in time and wander a bit through the little old fashioned town.
You’ll find a small store, post office, school, as well as other buildings. All kinds of demonstrations will take place in the Carpenter shop, Harris House, McMenomy House and the Blacksmith Shop.

Choir groups and musicians will be sharing music in the Church. Sing-along Christmas Carols will be part of the program. Some of the choir groups will be strolling through the village as they sing.
All kinds of demonstrations will take place in the Carpenter shop, Harris House, McMenomy House and the Blacksmith Shop.
