Bring your family and find free fun for everyone at the Elk RiverFest Orono Park Family Zone.
Find fun family activities at the Orono Park Family Zone, located at Orono Park on Saturday, July 27th from 10 am – 12 pm. This event is free to attend, however, some activities may require pre-registration. With so many activity choices, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
Orono Park Family Zone Activities:
- Bingo
- All ages are welcome to participate in Bingo at the Pavilion at Orono Park. Boards cost $1 each. 50% of the winnings to to the Elk River Fire Foundation and 50% will be awarded throughout the rounds.
- Craft Fair
- Find books, food items, wooden items, ornaments, book bags, bath bombs, snacks, dog treats, jewelry, apparel, and more.
- Community Partners
- Find out more about various local organizations and get involved in the community.
- Face Painting
- Free face painting and glitter tattoosfor all kids in Shelter #1 at Orono Park.
- Food Trucks
- Choose between seven food trucks, lemonade, mini donuts, kettle corn, and more!
- Inflatables
- Jump and bounce on the inflatables.
- Orono Mile
- Get out and run! The race, beginning at 10am.
- Petting Zoo
- Get up close to see and pet your favorite animals.
- Sandcastle Contest
- Complete to build a sandcastle at Orono Beach. Register on site. Some tools will be provided such as pails, shovels, and rakes, but feel free to bring your own tools too.
- Sensory Tent
- Attendees with special needs can take a break and relax a bit in the sensory tent. The space includes an area with pillows and rugs, sensory tables, sensory tools and gadgets, and sensory games.
- Skatepark Show
- Participate in a skateboard contest. It is free to enter. Contest has beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
- The Baron of the Bubble
- Enjoy the magic of bubbles! The Baron of the Bubble will perform many of his famous bubble tricks and creations. People of all ages will be able to try their hand at the magic of bubbles as well from 1oam to 2pm.
